Little Steps was chosen by the South Carolina Charities, Inc. Board of Directors to benefit from the 2010 BMW Charity Pro-Am Tournament. The tournament took place Thursday, May 13 through Sunday, May 16. Little Steps volunteers worked the 8th hole at the Thornblade Club and got to see some great golf and several celebrities!

The Extreme Community Renovation Campaign was started in April when Little Steps signed the lease on an empty building that once housed an abortion clinic. Volunteers began the renovation almost immediately. Then NewSpring Church stepped in and took over the building, and Little Steps had to wait to see the completed project. Even on May 1st, when volunteers from several community groups came to clean up the outside of the building, no one could go in, even for a peek!

On May 4th, NewSpring Church did an "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" style reveal complete with the crowd shouting "Move that bus!" Mandy Black, Little Steps Executive Director, went in for the first tour of the new building, followed by her family, and then Little Steps volunteers. Many tears of joy were shed as people walked through the amazing, much needed facility.

The Extreme Community: Renovation Campaign was an enormous success thanks to the generosity of this wonderful community. There are not enough words to express our gratitude. Local businesses, churhces, and individuals donated their time and money to transform a former abortion clinic in Greenville into a much needed facility for the Little Steps organization. A big thank you goes to NewSpring Church for completing the renovation and making the facility more amazing than we could ever have imagined!
